Party Secretary and Mayor of Suizhou Discuss Special Vehicle Industry Transformation and Hydrogen Energy Projects

  On November 21, in order to actively align with the “Hubei Province Automobile Industry Transformation and Development Implementation Plan (2023-2025)” issued by the Provincial Government Office, and to seize the opportunities presented by the new energy, intelligent, and connected vehicle trends in the specialized vehicle sector, the city of Suizhou is implementing the “1335” development strategy to advance the three-year action plan for the transformation and upgrading of its specialized vehicle industry. Qian Yuankun, Secretary of the Suizhou Municipal Party Committee, and Mayor Ke Ke, along with Chen Xingwang, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Huang Jijun, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, and Liu Junwei, Member of the Municipal Government Party Leadership Group, held a special meeting on the transformation and upgrading of the specialized vehicle industry at Chufeng Automobile and conducted research on hydrogen energy projects. Sun Ying, Chairman and General Manager of New Chufeng, and Huang Zhaojun, Executive Director of Guangzhou Hybot, accompanied the delegation during the research.

  At the meeting, Zengdu District and New Chufeng Company reported on the progress of the hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle industrial demonstration base construction project and the operational cost calculations for hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles and hydrogen refueling stations. Suizhou High-Tech Zone, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the Municipal Transportation Bureau, and the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau reported on the progress of key tasks in the transformation and upgrading of the specialized vehicle industry.

  Sun Ying, Chairman and General Manager of Xin Chufeng, provided a detailed introduction to the company's strategic goals and business layout to the leaders. He stated that Chufeng Automobile has always adhered to innovation-driven development, actively promoting the application of hydrogen energy in the commercial vehicle sector to achieve sustainable development for the company and the entire industrial chain, and making positive contributions to the transformation and development of the city's automotive industry. Huang Zhaojun, Executive Director of Guangzhou Hybot, provided a detailed introduction to hydrogen energy commercial vehicle R&D and market potential.

  Municipal leaders emphasized that Xinchufeng should play a leading role in transformation as a flagship enterprise, cultivate and develop “chain-leading” enterprises, actively attract top-tier or key enterprises in niche sectors within the industry, focus on key categories such as sanitation and logistics specialty vehicles, strengthen research and development of core technologies and quality standards, and accelerate product iteration and upgrading.

  The visit by the Party Secretary, Mayor, and other leaders has injected new momentum and confidence into the advancement of the Chufeng Automobile hydrogen energy project. Chufeng Automobile will continue to leverage its strengths, actively explore innovation, and promote the application of hydrogen energy in the commercial vehicle sector, contributing more to the transformation and development of our city's automotive industry. Simultaneously, it will make positive contributions to the construction of a green and low-carbon future transportation system.
