Delegation from China Electric Vehicle 100 and Tsinghua University Explores Chufeng Automobile

  On July 15, Zhang Yongwei, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People's Association, and Zhu Dequan, Deputy Director of the Beijing Tsinghua Industrial Research Institute, visited Chufeng Automobile to conduct research on the new energy and intelligent transformation of the special vehicle industry. They were accompanied by a group of leaders including Qian Yuankun, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Chen Xingwang, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; and Huang Jijun, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor. Sun Yong, CEO of Guangzhou Hybot Technology Co., Ltd., and Peng Lang, General Manager of Hubei Xinchufeng Automobile Co., Ltd., also participated in the research.   A group of leaders visited the Chufeng production workshop and laboratory base. Peng Lang, general manager of the company, gave a detailed introduction to Chufeng Automobile's work in the field of new energy vehicles, including research and development, production, sales, and intelligent transformation, as well as the company's progress in the new energy sector's industrial chain, innovation chain construction, and intelligent transformation.

  At the symposium, Secretary Qian Yuankun introduced the current situation in Suizhou, which is focusing on strengthening its foundation and brand to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, thereby enhancing the city's attractiveness and agglomeration capacity. We are actively seizing the development opportunities presented by the trillion-yuan automotive industry corridor linking Hankou, Xiaogan, Suizhou, Xiangyang, and Shiyan, and closely monitoring key areas such as new energy and intelligence. adhering to an integrated transformation of upper and lower vehicle components, and following the principle of “electrification where appropriate, hydrogen where appropriate, and fuel where appropriate,” to advance upper vehicle component upgrades, chassis battery swapping, and smart empowerment. We are using logistics, sanitation, tourism, and hazardous chemical transportation—areas with comparative advantages and key product categories—as breakthrough points to drive high-quality development across the entire specialized vehicle industry. We hope that the Electric Vehicle Hundred People's Association and Tsinghua University's Industrial Research Institute will provide strong support in industrial development planning, ecosystem building, and policy advocacy, helping to formulate a transformation and upgrading plan for the Chufeng automotive industry and a hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle development strategy, and assisting Suizhou in establishing a specialized vehicle industry transformation and upgrading demonstration zone and a hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle demonstration base.

  After gaining a detailed understanding of Chufeng Automobile's strategic planning and implementation in terms of new energy and intelligent transformation, Secretary-General Zhang Yongwei said that he would give full play to his own advantages, actively seek the attention and support of relevant parties for the development of the special vehicle industry, help Suizhou connect with more high-quality industrial chains, innovation chains, and supply chain resources, and assist in the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of the special vehicle industry. He also said that he would work with Suizhou to jointly plan and hold large-scale events to continue to enhance the reputation of Suizhou as the “Capital of Special Purpose Vehicles in China.”

  Vice President Zhu Dequan stated that the company will make every effort to establish New Chufeng as the leading enterprise in the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle supply chain, supporting Suizhou in developing a hydrogen energy industrial park, establishing an industrial fund, and attracting core enterprises in the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry chain to settle there. This will accelerate the construction of a hydrogen energy industrial ecosystem and promote the transformation of the innovation chain into an industrial chain.
