Hydrogen Innovation: Progressing with Caution

  Recently, Ke Ke, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Suizhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suizhou; Jin Houpeng, Member of the Party Group of the Suizhou Municipal Government and Secretary-General of the Suizhou Municipal Government; Yuan Dengfeng, Director of the Research Office of the Suizhou Municipal People's Government; He Sheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zengdu District Committee and District Chief of Zengdu District; Liu Tao, Director of the Suizhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; Cheng Shuang, Director of the Zengdu District Bureau of Science and Technology and Economy; and other leaders from the municipal and district levels visited the Xinchufeng Company factory to inspect and guide the work.

  Accompanied by the company's chairman, Huang Zhaojun, the delegation toured the new energy production workshop, comprehensive testing and evaluation center, test track, and new product prototyping workshop of Xinchufeng Company, gaining a detailed understanding of the company's personnel management, occupational safety, market sales, and new product R&D efforts. During the visit, Chairman Huang Zhaojun provided detailed introductions to the company's overall development plan, the resumption of production for its main pure electric vehicle models, and the research and development progress of new products such as pure electric special-purpose vehicle chassis, hydrogen fuel cell logistics vehicles, and cold chain transport vehicles.

  Following the on-site visit and exchange, Mayor Ke Ke and his delegation proceeded to the conference room for an in-depth and comprehensive discussion with the management team of Xinchufeng. Mayor Ke Ke conveyed the spirit of the 12th Party Congress of Hubei Province, particularly emphasizing the geographical advantages and industrial foundation of Suizhou City in the development of the trillion-yuan automotive industry corridor centered on the “Han-Xiao-Suizhou-Xiangyang-Shiyan” region. He reflected on the lack of innovation and the failure to develop the Suizhou specialized vehicle industry, particularly the new energy specialized vehicle sector, into a strong and innovative sector. He sincerely hoped that Xinchufeng Company would fully leverage its existing hardware infrastructure, under the leadership of its management team, to confidently become the leading enterprise in Suizhou's new energy vehicle sector and contribute to the development of Suizhou's automotive industry. Building on the comprehensive enhancement of existing testing and inspection capabilities, the company should open up its resources to empower Suizhou's automotive industry and contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of dozens of specialized vehicle manufacturers.

  Chairman Huang Zhaojin reported on three aspects to the leaders. First, the current production situation of the company: Xinchufeng Company's supply chain is operating normally, product quality has been improved, and market sales are proceeding smoothly. Second, new product development: the development of four new energy sanitation vehicle chassis has been announced, and fuel cell logistics vehicles and refrigerated vehicles are currently undergoing announcement trials, with plans to launch them next year. Meanwhile, the company's expansion of fuel cell vehicle production qualifications is also being carried out in an orderly manner. Third, he expressed gratitude to the municipal and district governments for their support and assistance in Xinchufeng's operations, particularly for the comprehensive support provided by the municipal government in communications with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT); additionally, local enterprises have been allocated a certain market share in the procurement of new energy sanitation vehicles.

  Mayor Ke Ke fully affirmed the work achievements of Xinchufeng Company. He also made specific arrangements for the company's future work. He particularly emphasized communication with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, for which the Suizhou Municipal Government will provide comprehensive support. The relevant bureaus and commissions will work closely with Xinchufeng to ensure smooth communication. Secondly, the promotion of new energy sanitation vehicles will be coordinated by the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and Zengdu District, which will work with relevant units to provide strong support for the company's business activities and strive to achieve the goal of 1,000 vehicles.

  Before leaving the site after the on-site investigation and research, Mayor Ke Ke once again made a request to Xinchufeng Company: Time is money, efficiency is life. Accelerate the pace of research and development, enhance capability building, expedite the launch of new energy standardized products, and collaborate closely with over 60 specialized vehicle manufacturers in Suizhou to achieve economies of scale. In 2023, during the Suizhou Yan Di Ancestral Roots Festival, Xinchufeng will present a new image to welcome the inspection and guidance of provincial Party committee and provincial government leaders.
